There are four main course types for students to choose from General English, Academic English or IELTS, Cambridge Exam Preparation Courses and General plus Business English when they enrol, depending on their main purpose in learning English. However, if students want to switch courses once they are studying they usually can. Students who study with ELC for a longer period of time usually combine a number of courses in their academic semester or year programs.

Comfortable, well-equipped classrooms and collaborative learning spaces create an effective learning environment. The unique eat, meet and speak spaces are the perfect places to break out and use English. Students consistently rate ELC teachers as excellent. Sydney is a large city but students can go surfing, scuba-diving, bushwalking or just relax on the beach, all within the Sydney metropolitan area.
