SUNY New Paltz was again listed amongst the most environmentally responsible colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada by the latest Princeton Review. The picturesque valley campus is known as one of the greenest and most beautiful in America, and this fact is regularly recognized. The campus makes for a stunning setting for students, as indicated by Princeton Review which takes into account a survey from tens of thousands of students.
Hudson Valley Summit
SUNY New Paltz continues to be a central figure in the development of the local Hudson Valley economy. In November 2018, it hosted the latest Hudson Valley Future Summit as regional leaders gathered to discuss future plans for the area, where the university and its students play a major role.
“We have worked to create a model public university and a model civic collaborative, both to enhance the learning experience of our students and to improve quality of life in the Hudson Valley,” said President Donald P. Christian.
He added, “We want to continue building and reinforcing this engagement as a defining and animating ethos in the future of the College and the Hudson Valley.”
