Founded in 1845, the Glasgow School of Art is internationally recognised as one of Europe's leading higher education institutions for education and research in the visual creative disciplines. Courses offered by the school also include lecture time, library research and crits time when students work in groups with tutors to analyse and explain their work. The Glasgow School of Art is situated in the centre of the city of Glasgow and also has a library that possess one of the finest art, design and architecture collections in the UK.
