Advanced Engineering Building
The University of Brighton’s GBP 14 million Advanced Engineering Building opened recently and is a great addition to the university facilities. The building houses the Advanced Engineering Centre which supports both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and innovative research. It has state-of-the-art facilities for mechanical, automotive and aerospace engineering and provides an inspiring environment for the next generation of engineering students and researchers.
Brighton among the best fashion schools in the world
The University of Brighton has been ranked 13th by the CEOWORLD magazine, out of the 110 best fashion schools in the world for 2018. The fashion courses at the university are recognised as amongst the best in the world, and renowned for international reputation for its teaching, practice and research in the arts.
Internationally rated programmes
The university of Brighton has established an international reputation for its art and design programmes. The university placed 8th in the UK and within the top 40 institutions worldwide for art and design in the QS World University Rankings 2019. In addition, the university’s sport courses and qualifications ranked in the top 100 in the world as per the QS World University Rankings 2019.
The Big Build
The university is continuously investing in facilities that enhance students’ experiences and has planned improvements to existing facilities in Brighton and Eastbourne, as well as a transformation of the largest campus at Moulsecoomb. The campus development at Moulsecoomb will provide students with access to new halls of residence, teaching and learning spaces and social and fitness facilities. The project that aims to transform the University of Brighton’s Moulsecoomb campus over the next three years has made the shortlist for the prestigious Times Higher Education Leadership & Management Awards (THELMAs).
