The university jumped four places to 15th in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020. In the 2019 National Student Survey, subjects at Bristol featured in the top quartile of universities in every question set, with 90 per cent of students stating that their course was intellectually stimulating. The University of Bristol was once again ranked in the top five most targeted institutions by UK employers (High Fliers Research 2018-20).
Work has begun on the university’s new Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus. The project will provide teaching, research and innovation space for staff, students and external partners, as well as on-site student accommodation. The university recently invested GBP 33 million in transforming the Fry Building to become the new home for the School of Mathematics, making it a world-class facility for research and teaching.
This year the university launched Global Lounge pop-up events, where both UK and international students can share experiences, integrate and be inspired to become global citizens. The physical Global Lounge, opening soon, will be a place for all students to connect, learn about other cultures and find out about global opportunities.
