Best Restaurants, Shops and Stores in the UK

From supermarkets to speciality stores; farmers’ markets to fine dining

You have plenty of options for where to shop and eat in the UK.

If you live in a city or larger town, you can usually visit the shops every day, but it pays to check opening hours, especially on a Sunday. Sunday trading hours are generally shorter in all places, and some shops may not open at all, especially in smaller towns.

Depending on what you feel like eating or cooking (and where you live), you can choose to shop at major supermarkets, international and specialty stores or even farmers’ markets. Some shops even offer discounts for students, so if you’re on a budget you might want to look at getting an NUS student card or International Student Identity card.

If you want to head out to a restaurant for a special occasion or just a casual catch-up with friends, you’ll have lots of places to choose from. The UK has some of the best restaurants in the world, as well as a variety of other options to suit all budgets and tastebuds.
