Maryland Institute College of Art
Maryland Institute College of Art was founded in 1826. It is the oldest continuously degree-granting college of art and design in the nation. The college has become the leader in the education of artists and designers by fostering a community of talented, creative individuals committed to redefining the boundaries of art and design and to expanding own vision and perspective through rigorous study.
The degree programs offered by MICA includes bachelor of fine arts, master of arts, master of fine arts, master of arts in teaching and the post baccalaureate certificate. It also offers programs in continuing education ranging from individual courses for adults and youth to certificate programs offering a coherent course of study. The college is pioneering interdisciplinary approaches to innovation, research, and community and social engagement.
