New York Institute of Technology's New York campus is located in the west of Manhattan, with easy access by public transport. The campus is close to a variety of attractions for students including restaurants, cultural venues and major companies, that facilitate student internships and employment opportunities.

Long Island, NY

New York Tech's Long Island campus is located in a tranquil and lush setting nestled among wooded and landscaped acres. Many original buildings were reconstructed for student use but still retain their exterior charm. This is where part of the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) is based.

Jonesboro, AR

Osteopathic physicians are trained by expert faculty and staff members at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) in Arkansas State. Located in Jonesboro, students have access to a medical library, osteopathic manipulative lab, state-of-the-art anatomy lab and technology enabled classrooms facilitating the streaming of lectures between New York and Arkansas.

Student life

It's not all about academics at New York Tech. Students can choose to be part of a rich campus life by being student leaders, volunteers or interns and participate in conferences and club activities. There is scope for extracurricular activity across multiple areas of interest such as the arts, entertainment, politics, public service, business and much more. Having a well-rounded extracurricular life also helps students learn a lot about the local culture.

New York Tech's community service centers help students get involved as volunteers on behalf of community agencies, or as coordinators and the liaison person between New York Tech, clubs and off-campus organizations. On-campus roles, especially after the student's first year, could be those of peer advisors, student tutors or orientation leaders.

There are also plenty of recreational options for students around and beyond campus. From live performance venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts to a number of museums and galleries, everything is within a 15-minute walk from the campus. Those who prefer relaxed public spaces can head to the famous Central Park which is less than a five-minute walk, or choose from the other options that surround the area. Shopping and dining are also adequately catered for, with a whole range of options within walking distance of campus.

Students in New York City can choose from New York Tech's two city halls of residence, the Anderson Hall and the Riverside Terrace. Both are based in vibrant neighbourhoods and are only a short journey from the campus.

There are single, double and triple room options, as well as meal plans. Many rooms have private bathrooms, kitchens and a student lounge. Accommodation staff and security teams are available at all times at the halls of residence. Students can also be assured of a strong community police presence in the area. Students who would prefer to live off-campus can receive help from New York Tech to find something suitable.

At the Long Island campus, students can choose from halls of residence that are located very close to campus. Options include:

  • King Hall and Anthony Hall, designed for first-year students.
  • Roosevelt Hall, designed for sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and includes an architectural studio space.
  • Bolivar, designed for sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
  • Kennedy Hall, designed for sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and offers a quieter residence hall experience.

Scholarships & funding

Scholarships & funding

New York Institute of Technology has some of the lowest private tuition fees in the state of New York. It also provides millions in scholarships and grants each year. The majority of awards are based on academic excellence and scholastic potential.

Undergraduate students

There are a large number of first year scholarships available, where eligible first-year bachelor's degree students can receive up to USD 23,000 each academic year for four years.

Transfer students

Transfer scholarships are available to eligible students who transfer into a bachelor's degree program from an institution either in the U.S. or overseas. Students can receive an award of up to USD 16,000 each academic year.

Graduate students

The Graduate Scholarship Award offers eligible students pursuing graduate study up to USD 3,000 each academic year, in tuition credits.
