What’s new
UWE Bristol is continuously improving its offer to students, both in terms of teaching and courses and the built environment, with over GBP 300 million being invested in facilities onsite up to 2020.
New Science Labs
Opened in 2019 after a GBP 7 million redevelopment, the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences is now home to the Lab Zone, a series of connected research labs and spaces for teaching. Undergraduate and postgraduate students of subjects like conservation, biomedical and environmental science can make use of the labs, which are also home to cutting-edge research.
Bristol Business School
A GBP 55 million building, the new home of the Bristol Business School, serves 5500 students across seven floors. It includes showcase law courts and a Bloomberg City Trading room so students can gain hands-on experience, as well as a collaborative space for business and students to come together.
Hillside Gardens
A brand new sports facility, it includes floodlit pitches, undercover seating for spectators, training grids and warm-up area.
City Campus
An investment of over GBP 10 million into the City Campus has brought cutting-edge resources for the highly successful Art and Design & Film and Journalism departments. These new, modern facilities prepare students for the world of work, encouraging them to develop their experience across a range of disciplines and creative practices.
Engineering Building
Scheduled to open in 2020, this new and collaborative learning space will enhance the cutting-edge teaching in the Faculty of Environment and Technology. New facilities will include engine test cells, wind tunnels and new learning spaces
