The Department of Arts is proud to offer the Rosie Skelton Scholarship, honouring the memory of the late Rosie Skelton who was a leading figure in the musical life of North Wales, teaching violin at Bangor University and leading the University Symphony Orchestra for many years.
Open to violinists only, this undergraduate music scholarship comprises an award of £1000. The successful applicant will also perform at a recital during the academic year. There is one award available. Eligible candidates must:
- have applied for and go on to enrol on one of our single-honours Music degrees at Bangor University (specifically the BA Music or BMus Music)
- be a violinist with standard of at least Grade 7 ABRSM, or equivalent
- start your course at Bangor in September 2025 (deferred entry applications are not eligible)
