UQ Excellence Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to the applicants showing the greatest merit based on a combination of academic achievement, strength of leadership qualities and/or community service involvement as evidenced by application.

You're eligible if you:

• achieve a minimum unadjusted ATAR of 99.00 (or equivalent)
• complete Year 12 in 2025 or 2024 (if you're on a gap year).

And either of the below:

• Australian citizen or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder or
• Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen, or international student who is completing or has completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia.

And you:

• have not completed any previous tertiary study, other than as part of your Year 11–12 studies (e.g. Enhanced Studies Program)
• have applied for a tertiary place through QTAC and have UQ listed as your 1st QTAC preference as at 12:00pm on Friday, 19 December 2025
• are intending to enrol as a full-time student in a UQ undergraduate program in 2026 (or 2027 if deferring).
