- Full-time graduate students registered in the Master's program in the School of Optometry & Vision Science in the Faculty of Science.
- Selection to be based on academic excellence with a preference given to Doctors of Optometry, followed by students with international optometric education.

- The School of Optometry and Vision Science will identify candidates and select recipients normally each Winter.
