Comprehensive Strategic Partnership
Written by Melvin Wong, October 2016
The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) was signed between Australia and Singapore earlier in May this year as a landmark agreement which aims to deepen many aspects such as the economy, defence cooperation, facilitating tourism and increasing educational opportunities.
Allied Health Qualifications Recognised In Singapore
Singaporeans seeking to study in professional courses in Australia will also have much to rejoice about with many previously unaccredited courses being recognised by Singapore’s various councils. For example, Singapore will recognise postgraduate medical degrees from Universities such as the Australian National University and The University of Queensland. Furthermore, fifteen additional allied health qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech Therapy have now been recognised by the Allied Health Profession Council (AHPC). More Universities To Choose From For Your Law Degrees
Prospective students intending to further their studies in the profession of law can also now consider taking them in Australia as many universities offer law degrees that are recognised by the Ministry of Law, Singapore. With the CSP coming into action, Juris Doctor Degrees of Australian Universities with undergraduate law degrees will be recognised in Singapore and will be reciprocated in Australia, where Juris Doctor Law degrees will be recognised. IDP Singapore has become a trusted name for students looking for an education in Australia.
How Can IDP Help You
IDP counsellors are all Australian trained graduates in various fields of studies. As such, they are able to provide first-hand information on studying and living experiences in their field. They provide personalized service to students, advising them on the best ways to achieve their education and career goals. They also help students in understanding Australian student visa regulations and transition to Australia.
For us at IDP Singapore, students come first. And, from our experience, we know that education is a solid investment and not an end in itself. We are committed to partnering with students to help them make the right educational choices which help them reach their long-term goals.
