IDP Education established the first Australian Centre for Education (ACE) in central Phnom Penh in February 1992. ACE schools now occupy three major campuses:
- ACE Phnom Penh, Samdech Pan
- ACE Phnom Penh, Santhor Mok
- ACE Siem Reap
UN agencies, embassies, local and international NGOs, private companies and philanthropic individuals and organisations sponsor more than 1,000 students to be taught by our expert teachers at ACE each year.
Our mission is to lead the delivery of high-quality English language training in Cambodia and South-East Asian. High-quality teaching standards are maintained through close evaluation of student achievement and evidence-based teaching methods.
Teachers at ACE are supported with an active professional development program to maintain their high standards. ACE staff facilitate the international CamTESOL conference for fellow English language teaching professionals each year.
The quality of the educational experience at ACE schools is assured by accreditation from the National ELT Accreditation Scheme (NEAS) in Australia. In 2007, the ACE school in Samdech Pan (Phnom Penh) was the second English language school outside of Australia to achieve accreditation from NEAS. The ACE school in Siem Reap was the third outside Australia accredited by NEAS as a quality English language school.
General English Program and English for Academic Purposes Program
Graduates from the ACE General English Program (GEP) (Level 12, with an overall IELTS score of 5.0) are widely accepted in Cambodia as meeting minimum requirements for employment in an English-speaking environment. ACE’s English for Academic Purposes Program (EAP) is highly valued in the local education and corporate environments. Our EAP enables students to develop the essential English language skills for working or studying to an international standard.
