Capilano University was founded by the school boards and residents of North Vancouver, West Vancouver and Howe Sound through referendum in 1968. It is a teaching focused university offering a wide range of programs and services that enable students to succeed in their current studies, in their on-going education, in their chosen careers, in their lifelong pursuit of knowledge and in their contribution as responsible citizens in a rapidly changing and diverse global community. The university has earned an international reputation for quality teaching, programs and services. Approximately 1,100 international students from 74 countries study at the university. International students may select from any of their programs for which they are qualified.
