Established in 2000, Curtin College (CC) is a specialist educational institution which offers a range of study programs aimed at preparing its students for transitioning to a degree course at Curtin University (CU). Successful completion of a diploma pathway course guarantees progression to one of the many undergraduate courses offered by CU.
CC is located about six kilometres from downtown Perth, in Western Australia, the continent's largest state by a large margin. Western Australia has a staggering 10,000 kilometres of coastline including the coral coast region, found just two hours north of Perth, with uninterrupted white sandy beaches and coral reefs only metres from the shoreline.
Perth is the capital of Western Australia, and is a city with one of the fastest growing populations and economies in Australia. A clean and safe city, Perth offers a more relaxed pace of life and a lower cost of living than many of the other state capitals in Australia, making it an attractive option for international students. Perth has consistently been ranked in the top most liveable cities in the world.
CC is located within the CU campus, and college students benefit from shared use of the university facilities for the duration of their studies. College students can participate in university events and can even join the university clubs and societies. CC is the primary pathway provider for the university, and there are a range of course options available. A CC diploma is equivalent to the first year of a bachelor's degree, allowing students to progress directly onto the second year of their chosen CU undergraduate degree course.
Fast-track options are available, and there are three intake points within the academic year, allowing some flexibility. CC has helped over 20,000 students achieve their aspiration of studying at CU. CC provides a smooth and successful transition to further university education.
