Florida Institute of Technology
Florida Institute of Technology is a private, coeducational, residential, research-intensive, doctoral granting university located in the beautiful City of Melbourne on Florida’s sunny Space Coast. With about one-third of its student body coming from more than 100 countries around the world, Florida Tech is consistently ranked as the top national university for fostering international experiences. It offers more than 200 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs, as well as associate and certificate programs. The university consists of five colleges, College of Aeronautics, College of Business, Nathan M. Bisk, College of Engineering, College of Psychology and Liberal Arts, and College of Science. Florida Tech’s campus includes various academic, athletic, residential, dining, recreational, performance, administrative and multi-use facilities.
It's Evans Library is a high-tech hub for learning, innovation, discovery and digital scholarship, a place where students can access the resources needed to develop as researchers and scholars. The institute is also the home to 22 intercollegiate men’s and women’s sports teams, which play as the Florida Tech Panthers. Florida Institute of Technology continues to enhance the research components of nearly all aspects of undergraduate and graduate education. Along with facility improvements, research centers, institutes, and major laboratories continue to focus on particular areas of study and in many cases, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration.
More than 60,000 students from more than 120 countries have earned degrees from Florida Tech. Notable alumni include five Space Shuttle astronauts, the first female four-star general in U.S. military history, a 1984 Olympic gold medalist in rowing, a two-time major league World Series-winning pitcher, a National Teacher of the Year, and a member of the LPGA tour.
