John Paul International College
John Paul College is one of Australia's leading co-educational schools. The largest private independent college in Queensland, John Paul College consists of an International College, Primary School, Middle School, Senior School, Child Care Centre and Community Kindergarten. John Paul College has been preparing students for their place in the world for 30 years and, in 1997, opened John Paul International College to better prepare students for their studies in Australia.
The College offers high school preparation, primary preparation and English language courses. International students who enrol at the college for 20-30 weeks English preparation have the advantage of learning new study habits and being very well positioned to speak to school counsellors. By completing Year 11 and 12 in Australia, this can set the student up to do their university study anywhere in the world. John Paul College continues to strive for academic excellence and helps each student achieve their goals and excel in their chosen pathway. The institute’s programs help international students to meet academic entry standards and develop study, language and cultural skills. This ensures a smooth and successful transition to their study in Australia, either at Primary School, High School or Diploma/ Degree courses in Australian and international universities. The staffs are experts in their field, holding ESL qualifications and are experienced in dealing with international students. Students are exposed to various teaching and assessment methods necessary for preparation into mainstream schooling. The students' learning programs are complemented by the use of a personal notebook computer, in purpose-built classrooms supported by a campus-wide wireless network and internet portal to learn anytime, anywhere.
The College is located on Brisbane's southern outskirts, 20 minutes south of the Brisbane CBD, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The campus has magnificent grounds with state-of-the-art facilities, providing a relaxed environment in which to learn. The College operates its own Homestay program where international students are welcomed into homes of carefully selected and government approved Australian host families. Accommodation includes all meals, own bedroom and study facilities.
