New Zealand Institute of Sport, established in 1996, provides practical pathway to success with qualifications to prepare students from all over the world for careers in sport, fitness and recreation. Its students have access to highly qualified tutors in all qualification areas, and experts in sport teaching and coaching through various high performance academies.

The programs offered by the institute include courses from Level 2 to Level 6, foundation courses, personal training and Pre Police certificates, tertiary courses and degree pathways. NZIS qualifications are internationally recognized in over 30 countries and it welcomes students and staff from all over the world. Its courses are designed to engage students directly with industry and communities, building real life experiences and relevant skills that are directly transferable to the workplace.
