The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Centre (TTUHSC) campus in Amarillo was officially inaugurated on September 15, 2017. This will serve as a centre for imparting practical training to students in the fields of medicine, biomedical sciences, nursing, pharmacy and health care. A new student activity centre was opened in the campus on January 31, 2018. The space has been designed to encourage inter-professional interaction and knowledge sharing among students.
Completed in 2017, the Honour Hall is built as a residence complex for housing the Honour’s graduates. Apart from the students’ rooms, it includes a multipurpose space capable of seating 50 people, study rooms on each floor and a Starbucks. It includes a landscaped courtyard on the outside.
TTU celebrated the opening of Texas Tech Sports Performance Centre in October 2017, the country’s first multi-sports venue. It is a state-of-the-art facility that will benefit over 450 student athletes in TTU who compete in 17 different intercollegiate sports. The Centre provides the space and facilities for daily training as well as competitive practice.
