Founded in 1871 in Warrensburg, Missouri with only a few dozen students, more than 140 years later, UCM has grown to serve more than 14,000 students. Their diverse student population represents nearly every state and 50 countries across the globe. They are proud of their more than 90 percent employment rate for students six months after graduation. Central Missouri offers 150 programs of study leading to a certificate, bachelor's degree, master's degree, education specialist degree, or cooperative doctorate. These include 10 pre-professional programs, 27 areas of teacher certification, and 37 graduate programs. Through their International Center, students can study in almost every country in the world. Their programs reflect their mission, which focuses on student learning and includes a commitment to both service and excellence. UCM's 1,561-acre campus is located in Warrensburg, a town of about 19,000 residents located 50 miles southeast of Kansas City. They also offer classes at UCM - Lee's Summit, and their extended campus offers degrees in additional locations
