UNSW Institute of Languages
Established in 1966, the UNSW Institute of Languages was the first university language centre of its kind in Australia. It offers an unparalleled range of English and other language courses, language testing and language teacher training courses. The Institute is a business unit within UNSW Global Pty Limited, a not-for-profit, wholly owned enterprise of the University of New South Wales.
At the UNSW Institute of Languages, English classes include Academic English, Professional English -Business English, English for Law and English for Medical Professionals, General English as well as IELTS test preparation and Cambridge exam preparation. English language programs are available at various levels and lengths and may be packaged with the UNSW Foundation Studies or a UNSW degree. It provides the best preparation for academic success at the Institute.
The institution provides a quality Academic English pathway to study at UNSW, offers Professional English courses which are designed to equip students achieve their career goals and has a General English course for learners from Elementary through to Advanced level. It also provides ELITE Programs which include study tours, customized courses for specific groups and corporate programs and has a wide range of part-time courses in other languages for learners from Beginner level through to Advanced level, offers both TESOL and LOTE Teacher Training courses. Some of the program also provides language testing and test preparation including IELTS, TOEFL, PEAT and QANTAS.
