Overview
Griffith College (GC) is located in Queensland, Australia, and offers an alternative first year in a variety of study areas to directly access the second year of a Bachelor at Griffith University. A GC diploma provides entry to over 60 different Griffith University undergraduate degrees, and there are eight to 12-month fast track options available.
Queensland is known as the 'Sunshine State' with students enjoying an average of 280 days of sunshine annually. The state has plenty to discover in this ideal weather with over 7,000 kilometres of coastline, tropical islands, mountainous rainforests and over 200 national parks to discover. GC is ideally located for the exploration of this exciting landscape, and Queensland towns and cities are some of the most liveable in the world.
There are two GC locations within Australia. The Griffith University Southport campus is situated in Gold Coast, known for its white sandy beaches and surfing culture. The Mt Gravatt campus is located in Brisbane, Queensland's state capital, also considered to be one of Australia's fastest growing and most diverse destinations. Each city offers a lively mixture of restaurants, bars, outdoor recreation spaces and a booming arts and culture scene. They lie about 70 kilometres apart, and are readily accessible by car with a journey time of less than one hour.
GC has been a partner of Griffith University for over two decades and has successfully progressed thousands of graduates into the next phase of their higher education. New students join a community of over 18,000 students from Australia and from around the world. There is a thriving international student network, with a culture of diversity and inclusion, which is promoted by the college at all levels. A GC pathway program is fantastic preparation for further university education in Australia.
