The University of Bridgeport (UB) is a private, non-profit university located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The institution enjoys a leading reputation for diversity among universities in the United States, attracting an international community of students from over 80 different nations and 45 states.
The main campus stretches over 50 acres, overlooks Seaside Park and boasts spectacular views of the Long Island Sound. Facilities include a brand-new Innovation Center specializing in developing students' entrepreneurial skills and encouraging local business growth. The Bridgeport Plan ensures that students graduate in their designated timeframe with at least one work experience opportunity. They also have access to services such as additional tutoring, an on-campus health center, housing advisors, and an International Center for Students and Scholars, specifically for international student needs.
The university's Center for Career Development creates tailored career plans to assist students through all the stages of the employment process, whether that's career advice, resume building workshops, or training for successful interviews.
