Study options

Study options

Griffith College offers students a wide range of study options, most of which are one-year study programs that connect directly to the second year of study at Griffith University.

Foundation program

The Foundation program is designed to prepare students for a diploma or degree in arts, business, commerce, design, engineering, health, hotel management, information technology, and science. The program can be completed over two trimesters, with academic communication skills a central focus, along with computer skills and intercultural studies.

Diplomas are structured to provide the same amount of credit points as the first year's degree at Griffith University, around 80 for a year of study, depending on the program. This means most Griffith College students can progress directly to the second year of their degree at Griffith University.

Associate degree

This two-year program leads directly to the third year of a Griffith University Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of International Tourism and Hotel Management or Bachelor of Business degree.

Those who have not met the requirements to enter the second year will have one year of credit towards this associate degree, helping them successfully transition to further studies at Griffith University.

Masters qualifying program (MQP)

This program aims to equip students with the knowledge, values and skills required for successful completion of studies at postgraduate level in Australia. Successful completion of all four courses in the MQP allows students to progress to a Griffith University masters program of study.
