What's new

What's new

Studying at university will be a little different this year but ICP and the University of Portsmouth are committed to delivering the same high standards of teaching and learning outcomes. After taking all necessary safety measures in accordance with the latest government guidance, the university and ICP reopened their doors on 5th October 2020. Strict Covid-19 measures are in place including one-way entry systems, temperature scanning, hand sanitising stations and more.

Courses are delivered through a combination of online and face-to-face classes, allowing students to complete much of the course remotely, and with fewer people on campus at a given time. Students who prefer to travel to campus and join for face-to-face classes are able to do this and are strongly encouraged to follow the latest government and university advice to minimise any risk for themselves or others.

The University of Portsmouth is also mobilising its world leading research departments to investigate the mid-long term effects of COVID-19, and campus students can participate in an ongoing study to see whether breathing muscles can be trained to improve virus recovery rates. The university is also conducting social research into the psychological effects of isolation and distancing. This research benefits the global community and will also be used to inform the university's own approach to managing the human effects of the virus during the coming months and years.
