Northern Alberta Institute of Technology aspires to be the most relevant and responsive post secondary institution in Canada and one of the world’s leading polytechnics. It’s primary focus is on meeting the current and emerging needs for polytechnic education and research in Alberta. NAIT is relevant and responsive, providing outstanding technical education. While serving the needs of Alberta, the institute is globally competitive and recognized. Just like business and industry, it is always evolving in fact, it’s been a work in progress since planning for the campus began in 1959. Today, NAIT is still growing and reinventing itself to meet the needs of students and employers. It has 1,800 international students from 94 countries enrolled in credit programs.
The Institute offers more than 120 credit programs leading to degrees, applied degrees, diplomas and certificates . NAIT’s flexible learning options make it easy for the students to create a class schedule that fits the life schedule. Students can enrol in credit and non-credit courses and can take classes either part-time or online, or immerse in a full-time certificate, diploma or degree program. The Institute is educating the next generation of experts in business, health, science, technology, environment and trades and apprenticeship training. At NAIT, the students will gain real skills and relevant knowledge that will lead to a rewarding career.
Northern Alberta Institute of Technology main Campus is centrally located in Edmonton and houses most of it’s full-time programs, including those in business, IT, health sciences, hospitality and engineering technologies. It’s main campus is the hub for student activities and athletics.
