The University of Manchester is ranked as one of the best in the world
In the latest Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), The University of Manchester has placed 33rd out of all universities across the globe, and 6th in the UK. The ranking analyses over 1,200 institutions.
This is the highest position the university has ever achieved in the ARWU. It adds to Manchester’s list of recent successes, including its highest ever place in the most recent QS World University Rankings.
Part of a global network promoting SDGs
The university is a member of a new global network that is promoting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Manchester ranks as having one of the best social and environmental impacts across the globe (first in Europe and third in the world – Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings), and this new network is designed to boost contributions from higher education institutions.
