Overview
Founded in 1870, Trinity College was based on the English college model of Oxford and Cambridge. Trinity is a residential college of the University of Melbourne, with the affiliation beginning in 1876. Talented international students looking to study at the University of Melbourne can follow the academically excellent Trinity College Foundation Studies (TCFS) preparatory pathway. The University of Melbourne sees approximately 25 per cent of international undergraduate students coming from Trinity's foundation studies.
TCFS is the only foundation studies program that guarantees entry to undergraduate courses at the University of Melbourne, provided that students achieve the required scores. Taught by leading academics, the TCFS program is both rigorous and challenging. It has been designed in collaboration with the University of Melbourne, with supervision provided by the university's academic board.
Having educated students from over 60 different countries, Trinity is proud of its rich 140-year history. Located only one-and-a-half kilometres from the city centre, Trinity College is found on the quiet and tranquil campus of the University of Melbourne.
