Located on nearly 1,200 scenic acres in Inland Southern California and distinguished by more than 60 years of high-impact research, UCR is a living laboratory for the exploration of issues critical to growing communities. One of the most diverse, inclusive institutions within the prestigious 10 Campus University of California system, UCR serves as an incubator of new knowledge, an engine of social mobility, and an economic powerhouse.
UCR?s three colleges offer a wide range of academic and research subjects: The Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering, with nine departments, The College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, with 20 departments, and the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences, with 13 departments. We are home to four professional schools: School of Business, Graduate School of Education, School of Medicine, and School of Public Policy, as well as 23 interdisciplinary research centers. The university offers more than 100 bachelor?s degree, 55 master?s degree and 42 research degrees in various subjects.
Currently home to approximately 24,000 students and 1,100 institutional faculty, the campus is rapidly expanding. To support the addition of hundreds of new faculty and students, the first of two Multidisciplinary Research Buildings is already under construction. New campus student housing, dining, retail, and recreational facilities will be added in the next few years.

With countless ways to get involved (including more than 450 student organizations) in UC Riverside?s vibrant campus life, students can be part of it all.
The UC Riverside Recreation department offers various activities that include dance, martial arts, swim lessons, chair massages, guided outdoor trips, rock climbing, personal training, group exercise classes, cooking classes, intramural team sports, and so much more.
The university?s main campus is in Riverside in the geographical center of Inland Southern California. Located near the junction of the 91, 215 and 60 freeways, UCR is approximately 50 miles east of Los Angeles and 100 miles north of San Diego.
