Overview
UWE Bristol is based across three campuses in the city of Bristol. An exciting and diverse city, with a large student population, it is an exciting place to live and to study. Bristol is also a centre of industry with opportunities for networking and graduate employment on its doorstep.
UWE Bristol has an excellent reputation which has grown in recent years. It is ranked 21st out of 121 UK institutions in the 2021 Guardian league table, which is up seven places on the previous year. This continuous improvement also applies to the campuses, with over GBP 300 million being invested in facilities onsite over the last six years.
In the National Student Survey 2020, scored 88% for overall student satisfaction, compared to the national average of 83% for all UK universities.
UWE Bristol offers two-year master's courses in both Information Technology and International Management, which have the option of a placement. This will appeal to students who wish to enhance their career opportunities by applying their knowledge in practice and enhancing their skills for employability. Please note that while the university supports students to do this, they can't guarantee the availability of placements.
It has an excellent reputation amongst employers, with 92% of its graduates in work or further study 15 months after graduation, placing UWE Bristol 18th out of 152 UK higher education institutions in the country. (Graduate Outcomes Survey results released by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) 2020).
Its strong campus community is home to over 160 sports clubs and societies, centred at the new Students' Union building, the heart of campus life. International Students are made to feel at home with programmes to help them settle in, including orientation, day trips and events throughout the year.
