Archbishop Riordan High School
Founded in 1949, Archbishop Riordan High School is a Catholic high school for boys, owned by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco and sponsored by the Society of Mary, in collaboration with dedicated lay men and women. It is an Archdiocesan Catholic High School in the Marianist tradition, prepares young men for leadership and lifelong success through its college preparatory curriculum, its co-curricular opportunities, its emphasis on formation in faith, and its dedication to community service and justice. Students come from all over the world to receive a Riordan education.
Archbishop Riordan is dedicated to providing an environment that both challenges and nurtures its students during their high school years. It offers a college preparatory curriculum that respects the integrity of each individual as a unique human being and is committed to admitting students of varying abilities. At the school, students are encouraged to be active participants in personal and social change. At Riordan’s core is a rigorous and challenging curriculum which blends a classic liberal education with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate contemporary times. Students are trained to think critically, express themselves clearly, and identify overlapping themes among disciplines.
The High School is located in the city of San Francisco, minutes from downtown San Francisco, HW 280 near Balboa Park BART, San Francisco airport, and some of the most prominent universities and companies in the world. The campus is located directly across the street from City College of San Francisco where students can take college-level courses and earn credits towards their academic future.
