Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) has a rich cultural history and traces its roots all the way back to 1823 where it was initially the Liverpool Mechanics and Apprentice's Library. Now, it takes pride in being a modern, civic university that offers degrees that are informed by internationally-acclaimed research and centred around hands-on and practical learning.
The university is ranked within the global top 150 universities under 50 years of age (THE Young University Rankings 2019). Additionally, with a silver rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework 2017, students can trust that the quality of teaching is at a very high level at LJMU.
