The Texas International Education Consortium builds international partnerships, networks, and executes a one-of-a-kind consulting practice to bring new opportunities to our consortium institutions, open additional bridges of cooperation, and serve as a model of multi-institutional cooperation in international education and business.
Texas is an economic powerhouse and with diverse 31 member universities from across the state are innovative, hospitable, collaborative, and are sought-after education destinations for foreign students, faculty, researchers, and investors. TIEC provides deep expertise that contributes to a statewide increase in international education.
The Texas International Education Consortium is committed to creating lasting relationships between Texas higher education and counterparts around the world through collaboration, co-creation, and the sharing of knowledge and values.
The Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC) has been sharing the expertise and knowledge of more than 25,000 faculty and administrators from Texas universities with the global community since 1985. Together with TIEC’s Texas Intensive English Program, it offer pathways for students to study in Texas and become globally competent and career-ready for today’s workforce. TIEC also offer a one-of-a-kind consultancy that delivers unique programs to help universities, governments, and businesses succeed on the global stage.
Since 1990, the Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC) has sponsored Exchange Visitors and their dependents on J-Visas for study, work, and research at higher-education host institutions throughout Texas and beyond.
Located in Austin, Texas, it occupies a multi-purpose headquarters facility including both the institutional services programs and the study and training programs. The headquarters is home to offices and classrooms of The Texas Intensive English Program, a division of TIEC that provides English as a second language instruction to international students from around the globe.
