Interesting fact is, they only accepted Protestant elite for 201 year, until 1793. They started accepting Catholics in 1793, women in 1904.

Superstitions about the bell tower inside Trinity College

The famous bell tower was added in 1853 and is about 30 meters long. Although it has become a tradition to pass under this bell tower during graduation, students are afraid to pass under this bell tower during their education. Because of superstition that runs around, they believe if a student passes under this tower at a time when the bell is ringing, will fail in all classes.

Trinity College students have unlimited access to Book of Kells

Book of Kells, one of Ireland's national treasures, is located in the Old Library section of Trinity College and accepts visitors at certain fees. Students have unlimited access to this section, whose entrance fees range from 11 to 14 € for adults.
