University of Ottawa

 Located in Ottawa, the capital of Canada, one of the most livable cities and best educational opportunities in the world, University of Ottawa was founded in 1848 as the College of Bytown. It is currently the biggest bilingual (English - French) university in the world. More than 8,000 international students choose the University of Ottawa every year. Its motto, "Deus scientiarum Dominus est" in Latin, can be translated into English as "God is the master of knowledge". 

The university, which started to increase in Times Higher Education World University Rankings in 2020, rose from 176th to 141th. Entry requirements for Turkish students 

Offering various training programs in various fields, uOttowa is one of the schools which many Turkish students prefer.   • If you want to apply for undergraduate programs, all you need to have is a high school diploma and transcripts showing the details of the courses you have taken in the last three years. There may be additional requests from the department you want to apply and study.   • Students who wish to apply for gradute programs may need to make a detailed research according to the departments they want to apply. Universities that declare themselves as a research university in Canada usually require a 4-year undergraduate degree and 85% success rate in their undergraduate degree.   • Requirements for PhD, doctorate programs, are not much different from the requirements of graduate programs. There is a successful academic background, a good thesis proposal and requirements that may vary depending on the area you want to study.

As an international student to study abroad, you must prove your language proficiency to Ottawa University according to the language of education you have chosen. The minimum score accepted by the university is minimum 6.5 IELTS score. It also requests the score of 6.5 especially in Writing. The school requests C1 or C2 and B2 scores from test such as DALF, DELF, TCF for French.
