Campus Life
Toi-Ohomai is the key tertiary provider in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, centrally located on the North Island.
Toi-Ohomai is distinctly bicultural, with a holistic commitment to strengthening and supporting Māori and non-Māori students and staff. All new students and staff are formally welcomed to the institute during a traditional pohiri (Māori welcome ceremony), and Tangatarua Marae becomes an integral part of their Toi-Ohomai experience.
Toi-Ohomai Academy of Sport, modelled on New Zealand Academy of Sport, recognizes the talents of our young, local athletes and provides an environment where they can prioritize their sport while also gaining a valuable tertiary qualification. The academy has trained world-champion and Olympic athletes who compete around the globe.
Toi-Ohomai Academy of Singing and Music is similarly structured, providing guidance and support to young musicians while they study. A certificate and a diploma in music and performance are also offered.
