Surrey School District
Formed in 1906, the Surrey School District currently has the largest student enrolment in British Columbia and is one of the few growing districts in the province. It is the largest public school district in British Columbia, Canada and the ideal place for international students to achieve their academic goals while experiencing a true Canadian lifestyle. Currently, over 1,000 international students are studying amongst 73,000 domestic students. The School District prepares it’s learners to think creatively and critically, communicate skillfully, and demonstrate care for self and others.
Surrey School District prides itself on being able to offer unique educational opportunities that will cater the needs of any student. Students can choose a regular academic program or one of the many specialized programs such as Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or Fine Arts. It offers a wide range of support services for students such as Multi Cultural Workers, counselors, academic advisors, and customized ESL programs, so the students can have all the help they need to succeed.
Located on Canada's scenic west coast, the Surrey School district is just 40 minutes southeast of Vancouver and 2 hours north of Seattle, Washington in the United States.
