Established in 1936, Columbia College proudly serves as Canada’s longest established international private college. It is a liberal arts college providing first and second year university transfer courses, Associate Degrees in Arts and Science, a university preparatory foundations program conforming to British Columbia Ministry of Education guidelines, and excellent intensive English language instruction in the English Language Centre. The College operates as a Non-profit Society, and currently has an enrolment of about 1,000 students drawn from around the world.
Columbia College first offered high school completion programs to hundreds of students. In 1965 the College added university transfer courses to its offerings and further introduced English as a Second Language Program to meet the needs of the increasing number of international students. It continues to provide excellent preparation for university entrance in the years to come. The College’s Mission is to prepare international and Canadian students for admission to a university by providing quality academic programs in a supportive environment.
Columbia College is located in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Canada's west coast.
