SUNY Fulton-Montgomery Community College
Fulton-Montgomery Community College was founded in 1963 following approval from the Boards of Supervisors of Fulton and Montgomery counties and the Board of Trustees of the State University of New York. Fulton-Montgomery Community College provides accessible higher education and quality programs with a focus on student success. FM partners with the community through engagement in economic development and by providing cultural and intellectual opportunities.
Fulton Montgomery Community College is dedicated for providing students with a quality education in an environment that nurtures success. Nearly 125-150 international students enroll each year from twenty different nations. Fulton-Montgomery Community College offers 35 two-year associate degree programs or one-year certificate options. FM has some of the most successful transfer programs in the SUNY community college system, with many students going on to earn baccalaureate and graduate degrees. As a part of the National Junior College Athletic Association, the college offers Division III sports in men’s and women’s basketball and soccer, baseball, softball and volleyball. Students interested in becoming involved in campus activities and clubs are able to choose from over 30 on campus clubs and organizations.
Fulton-Montgomery Community College is committed in helping students to reach their educational goals. The Campus is located in rural Upstate New York at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. The campus is less than an hour’s drive from the state capitol, Albany, NY as well as the famous tourist towns of Cooperstown, NY (National Baseball Hall of Fame) and Saratoga Springs, NY. It is centrally located within a four-hour drive between Boston, Manhattan, and Montreal, Canada.
