New partnership to support Australian business
Business in Australia is set to benefit from a landmark partnership between the Monash Business School and the recently established Future Business Council (FBC).
The Monash Business School will partner with the FBC in its priority area promoting Australia as a global future business leader. The FBC’s mission is to drive the growth of innovative, sustainable and ethical companies and start-ups, and to position Australia as a global future business hub.
As part of the three-year partnership, the Monash Business School will chair the FBC’s working group of industry leaders working towards developing Australia as a global centre for future business.
The partnership involves a deeper engagement with Australian organisations focussed on future business. It will provide Monash Business School students the opportunity to work with cutting-edge start-ups and established global businesses. It will also generate relevant research insights and case studies.
Professor Richard Hall, Deputy Dean, Leadership and Executive Education, said the partnership fits perfectly with Monash Business School’s mission.
“Our mission is to engage in the highest quality research and education to have a positive impact on a changing world. We are committed to promoting responsible business management, sustainable business models and ethical business practice” Professor Hall said.
Through partnering with FBC, Monash Business School will be able to engage even more directly with progressive business leaders and promote the latest thinking in global business.
“It is a great way for us to interact with business, entrepreneurs and government, as well as to provide practical opportunities for our students to innovate and build their skills, and their capacity to contribute to more sustainable business,” Professor Hall said.
“We also see great promise in the partnership for the promotion and dissemination of new research with significant practical impact"
“We are really looking forward to working with the Future Business Council and its members and networks.”
