Melbourne is a vibrant and beautiful city with a great diversity of cultures, food, and entertainment. I find it is a considerably safe city to live in, and its network of public transport makes travelling around easy.
I currently share an apartment with friends in Footscray, a popular Vietnamese area in Melbourne.
Being an international student at The University of Melbourne, I have learnt to be independent and mature. I have made valuable friendships here, and have had the opportunity to experience new cultures.
Upon graduation, I would like to bring back to Vietnam what I have learnt and experienced. I believe I will be able to make my dream of opening my own service company come true.

I hope to secure a graduate actuarial position while completing professional credentials before coming back to study a Masters degree. My goal is to balance academic knowledge and industrial experience.
I have always wanted my educational experience to be fulfilling, as well as to be able to assist me with my professional and personal development. With internationally reputable faculties, great diversity, a world-class academic environment, the University of Melbourne was an obvious choice when I decided to study in Australia. The University of Melbourne has met, and exceeded, my expectations.
As a scholarship recipient, I am motivated to make my parents proud. The scholarship has reduced our financial concerns, and has allowed me more time to develop personally via volunteering. Attaining a competitive scholarship presents me as a more attractive candidate to future employers.
I enjoy living in Melbourne because of its cultural diversity, convenient means of public transport, great coffee and beautiful landscapes. One will fall in love with this place. On the weekends, I like to spend my time exploring Melbourne like a tourist, or going on a scenic bike trip with friends on one of the many bike routes. I also enjoy having brunches and visiting the beach.

Bachelor of Finance and Crediting (Moscow Financial University)
Master of Finance
I see myself as a professional within the financial services industry. I also look forward to continuing to be a part of the University’s community by keeping in touch through alumni events and mentoring programs.
I chose The University of Melbourne because it is the top university in Australia. Melbourne enjoys a vibrant cultural environment, with a blend of both Eastern and Western cultures.
The University of Melbourne has a reputation for cultivating students who achieve academic excellence, so a qualification from this University is recognised and appreciated. Through my course, I have met a lot of like-minded people and extended my professional network. I believe that being here has provided me with a unique platform to build professional relationships with both current students and alumni. I have had the opportunity to participate in challenging, yet rewarding, programs that are exclusively offered here; for instance, participating in a project as consultant at GE Capital, which I know will be highly regarded by potential employers.
The University of Melbourne is a great place not only for learning, but also for self-development. It offers an extensive range of programs, services and extra-curricular activities that aim to enrich university life. I feel that students here graduate as well-rounded individuals.

The University of Melbourne campus is the best campus in Melbourne. It is big, as I have not explored the whole campus yet. There are so many building I have not been to and I find new building every semester. The university is a combination of modern and old Architecture of Melbourne as many old buildings are remanded while some new buildings with modern technologies are built. The newest building is the Architecture building (MSD). This emphasis the fact that The University of Melbourne is moving forward the future but also maintain the tradition and history of Melbourne
I live at IH (International House), we have a friendly community where students can feel as home. Many activities can help students feel belong to the community as well as help each other in studies. The accommodation is good- I don't have to cook by myself, they provide meals three times per day, which I save my time for cooking and cleaning so I can focus more in my studies.

There are 2 reasons why I chose University of Melbourne as my university. The first reason is that Melbourne is known as one of the most livable city in the world. The second but crucial one is that the University of Melbourne has a reputation in teaching so the university can provide students with the competitive environment, qualified professors to make their study better.
I like the campus because it is really beautiful and convenient. The place I like most is the library because it is really quiet here and it has plentiful resources for studying.
I enjoy living in Melbourne because:The traffic and environment in Melbourne are really good. I usually use the public transports and I am really pleased that the trains or buses rarely come late.
