Overview
Placing within the top 350 institutions in the world (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021), the multicultural Anglia Ruskin University is home to students from more than 185 countries. The university has two main campus locations in Cambridge and Chelmsford.
Anglia Ruskin has recently invested GBP 100 million into its facilities. It houses one of only nine optometry schools in England and has its own public art gallery – the Ruskin Gallery. It also has a new Science Centre, a Law School Clinic, mock law courts, computer gaming suites and libraries which are open 24/7 complete with books and online learning resources.
The university excels in providing support in a variety of different areas. This includes disability support for those who have mental health conditions, medical conditions, learning difficulties and more. Other support ranges from a counselling service to the friendly International Centre that is dedicated to helping international students.
Students can also take advantage of the invaluable careers services when studying at Anglia Ruskin. The Employability Service provides plenty of help, from assistance with composing CVs to interview preparation. One-to-one sessions are available with advisors, and there are many useful resources that can be found online.
Whilst students are at Anglia Ruskin, they can enjoy one (or more) of the many social clubs or societies in their spare time. Through these groups they can make new friends, learn a new skill and add something unique to their CV. Clubs and societies range from dance class to an alternative music society.
