Birmingham City University is based in the heart of the UK’s second-largest city. With around 24,000 students from 80 countries, Birmingham City University is a large, diverse and increasingly popular place to study. Its early history can be traced back to the five individual colleges which would be brought together as The City of Birmingham Polytechnic in 1971. In 2007, the University changed its name to Birmingham City University.
