Oxford Brookes is constantly developing its offering to students, in terms of teaching, research and the campus environment. GBP 220 million is being spent between 2015 and 2025 on developing the campuses, and the development includes:
John Henry Brookes Building
At the heart of the Headington Campus, the John Henry Brookes Building is a dedicated space for students including the Brookes Union, a Library, Forum space, Student Central, Careers Centre and The Terrace.
A GBP 34 million refurbishment, including the Business School, as well as new teaching and study spaces, a café, and a new space for events including graduation ceremonies, it opened in 2018.
The ground floor of this development was completed in 2015, with a new Psychology Lab and Baby Lab. The next stage of development is underway, and will be completed in 2019. It will include new teaching and research spaces for nutrition, sports coaching and psychology, as well as new study spaces with specialist equipment and software, and a relocation for the Bioimaging Unit.
