Ready to apply to study abroad? We answer your questions.

It seems impossible for you everyday to fly across the world to wander the hallowed halls of a Russell Group university or join a study tour to the Great Barrier Reef. But it is our daily routine. We clearly understand you need more than a quality education - a real study trip that delivers amazing experience both inside and outside of the campus.

Here are the answers to some of the most common questions we get from students just like you.

Below are the answers to some FAQs we get from students just like you.

How do I apply and what are the services provided by an overseas education agent such as IDP?

IDP is highly competitive in the length of experience with institutions and international students. That’s why students will choose IDP as the first thought among overseas education agents. Your application will be submitted on your behalf by your IDP counsellor, who also helps you compile the application and certify the supporting documents and takes care of sending your application to chosen university or institution.

Additionally, we can advise you on accommodation options, visa applications and connect you with other support partners such as education loan providers, property rental agents and student/alumni associations.

Do I need to make an appointment to meet an IDP counsellor?

You can schedule an appointment with one of our counsellors by completing an online enquiry. We also welcome walk-ins on weekdays between 8.00am and 6.00pm and 9.00am to 12.00pm on Saturdays.

What certificates and other documents should I bring to my appointment?

You need to bring documents to verify your identity (valid passport) and your educational certificates (original results/transcripts). This will help your counsellor streamline your application.

Which universities and colleges do you partner with?

IDP represents more than 1000 universities and colleges globally, which is the largest institution network available in Vietnam. You can apply to any of the 38 Australian public universities (including all Group of Eight universities), all 8 New Zealand universities, the majority of UK universities (including the Russell Group) and many quality US and Canadian schools.

Do I have to pay for application fees?

We often waive application fees if you apply for institutions that IDP represents. For non-represented institutions or in case applicants have already got invitation letter, IDP will charge fee for visa applications. If you go through us from the beginning, you will comfortably take A-Z services without any expense incurred.

For non-IDP students in need of visa-application support, please be aware that an administration fee will be applied.

The Immigration Clearance is the most complicated part of process. You must ensure that you have no visa-rejected history, which may delay your entire application process or even cause you to another visa refusal.

How long do applications take to process?

It takes four to six weeks to proceed a course application. It may take longer in peak period or during a holiday season.

We know it will be a long wait for you! What you can do is be patient, and hope for the best.

Which are the countries IDP represents?

We represent universities and colleges in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
