UWA scores highly in world university subject rankings
The University of Western Australia has cemented its place among the world’s top universities, with nine of its subject areas ranked in the top 50 globally, according to the 2018 Academic Ranking of World Universities.
UWA placed first in Australia in four subject areas: Marine Engineering Agricultural Sciences Environmental Science and Engineering and Biological Sciences.
The other subject areas that rank in the world’s top 50 are: Mining and Mineral Engineering Oceanography Ecology and Clinical Medicine and Public Health.
Featuring a network of flexible teaching, research and industry-engagement spaces, Ezone UWA is designed to deliver outstanding graduates and innovative solutions in the field of engineering and mathematical sciences.
The new facility will provide students with an unparalleled learning experience, embrace new teaching and interactive learning models, and support researchers to uncover solutions to the world’s greatest challenges. This unique teaching and learning hub is expected to be in use from 2020.
