Marquette University is a Catholic, Jesuit university dedicated to serving God by serving the students and contributing to the advancement of knowledge. It’s mission, therefore, is the search for truth, the discovery and sharing of knowledge, the fostering of personal and professional excellence, the promotion of a life of faith, and the development of leadership expressed in service to others. The University believes education should be a transformational experience.
Marquette’s undergraduate programs include 80 majors and 78 minors, pre-professional programs in dentistry, law and medicine and undergraduate programs for working adults. It has 66 doctoral and master's degree programs, 18 graduate certificate programs, and a School of Dentistry and Law School. Through i requirements in nine core areas of study, undergraduate majors and minors, and master's, doctoral and professional certificate programs, it challenges students to think critically about issues affecting the community and world.
The University is located in Milwaukee. Milwaukee is often called a big small town. Vibrant and cosmopolitan yet accessible and friendly, it offers everything to add up to student’s social life, including cultural activities, great restaurants, sports, music, and performance and visual arts.
