Newcastle University




Newcastle University is an internationally recognised university with global geographic reach. It traces its origins to-the School of Medicine and Surgery, established in 1834 and Armstrong College, founded in 1871 for the teaching of physical sciences. In 1963, when the federal University was dissolved, King's College became the University of Newcastle.The university is in the top 100 most international universities in the world and have campuses in Newcastle, London, Singapore and Malaysia. It is the first UK University to establish a fully owned international branch campus for medicine at its NUMed Campus in Malaysia.
The university offers over 200 undergraduate degrees, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research degrees. Students need a good level of English language to study at Newcastle University. English will be the main language they use socially and for study. If English is not first language students will need to provide a recognised English language test or qualification. It offers scholarships to the undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Newcastle’s main teaching and research activities take place in the heart of Newcastle in the north east of England at the Newcastle city centre campus, Campus for Ageing and Vitality and Newcastle International Centre for Life. Its newest UK campus, Newcastle University London, opened in September 2015. The campus is located in the City of London offers University degrees designed by the triple-accredited Business School, as well as a range of university preparation programmes.
