Selection criteria:
Scholarships will be awarded to students based on the scores obtained during the academic interview for their programme. In the event of tied scoring, the scholarship panel will award scholarships on the basis of interview scores and prior academic achievement. All scholarship applications will be assessed equally and fairly by a scholarship panel, comprising University of Suffolk staff, who will score candidates against agreed criteria.
The University of Suffolk Vice-Chancellor's Excellence in Health Scholarship is a new and exciting scheme to reward exceptional international applicants who have a strong track record of academic achievement and show a commitment to having a transformative impact both during their studies and after graduation. This scheme is aimed at students intending to pursue one of our eligible professional health degrees.
We will be awarding fifty (50) Vice-Chancellor's Excellence in Health Scholarships of £4,000 value each in the 2025/26 academic year.
Important information
- Undergraduate students will be awarded the Vice-Chancellor's Excellence in Health Scholarship in each year of study (excluding sandwich/placement/study abroad years - see terms and conditions below)
- This is not an automatic scholarship - eligible students will be invited to submit a scholarship application once an offer of admission has been made
- Scholarships are awarded as fee discounts
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Vice-Chancellor's Excellence in Health Scholarship (2025/6), applicants must:
- Have received a conditional or unconditional offer for a 360-credit undergraduate or 180-credit
- postgraduate-taught programme delivered by the University of Suffolk at the Ipswich campus
- Be studying on a full-time basis
- Have applied to commence studies in the 2025/6 academic year
- Be self-funding and classified as Overseas for fee purposes (international fees)
- Have applied for the Vice-Chancellor's Excellence in Health Scholarship (2025/6) prior to the
- scholarship application deadline
- Undergraduate applicants must be starting their studies in Year 1 (Level 4)
In order to be considered for a scholarship, candidates must submit a scholarship application, which will be made available to eligible students once an offer of admission has been made.
